Do I need to bring my own gloves or will they be provided?
Although we have spare gloves you may use in the gym, it is more hygienic to bring your own. We sell them at reception if you would like to buy a pair.
What equipment do I need?
Boxing equipment is mainly gloves, wraps, skipping rope for beginners.
What shall I bring?
Bring any equipment you have such as a skipping rope, gloves, or hand wraps. Although gloves are provided, wraps are not. They can be bought at reception if you need them. Bring water, a towel, and a change of clothes.
Do you have showers, changing rooms and lockers?
We do not have showers, but have changing rooms and lockers. Please bring your own padlock and do not leave it overnight.
Are hand wraps important?
Hand wraps prevent your wrist from bending while boxing, and reduces the risk of sprains or fractures to the knuckle. We recommend them, especially as you get better and your punches get harder.
Do we have to pay direct debit?
Although not required, Direct debit ensures your price stays the same for future price increases. We may also charge extra for cash/card payments monthly compared to direct debit.
Will I be able to spar?
Sparring is reserved for boxers that have been training for an adequate amount of time. Although no specific time-frame is given, we would say you are ready when you can intelligently defend yourself in a boxing ring and know the fundamentals of boxing. Keep-fit boxers won't be asked to spar, and no sparring will take place without the correct equipment.
What do I need to spar?
You need 16oz boxing gloves, headguard, mouthguard, wraps, and a groin guard is highly recommended. You will also need to fill out a medical form stating any conditions that may affect your sparring. All sparring will be controlled.
Is there sparring in the Women's Boxing?
Only if some people who have trained for a long period of time are willing and want to spar we may do controlled sparring. But typically no.
Do I need to pay at the start of the month?
Yes. You cannot pay at the start before you do your month of training.
Can I join half-way through the month?
Yes, we charge pro-rata based on how many days are left in the month. If there are only a few days left we charge next months plus the current month in one.
How many lessons does my monthly cover me for?
Unlimited lessons as of right now. If classes become overcrowded, bookings will take place allowing everyone equal opportunity to train.
Is it a contract?
It is a monthly contract, but it rolls on each month. You need to give us 14 days notice to cancel your membership or pause it.
After signing up when can I train?
As soon as you would like, even the same day.
Can we come outside of lesson times to train?
Currently this is option is not available.
Do you do personal training or 1-to-1s?
Yes, we offer this service. Please contact us below for more details.
Do you do amateur boxing?
Yes we offer amateur boxing and send our students to competitions.
Do you do professional boxing?
Yes, for experienced boxers we allow them to be able to do professional boxing. For more details please contact us.
